The Waskonedo, the Shikaakwa and Kil Hswa In the beginning there was only thought to be the Waskonedo and her Myriad. The Myriad recognized the Waskonedo as the demiurge, and so they brought her the dust of space, of which she was eternally grateful; and it was for the Myriad that she would store along the tendrils of her whiskers the granules and light of the cosmos. From her favorite of the Myriad she was gifted the Moon. She named the favored one Kil Hswa, and kept the Moon wrapped in the tip of her tail. Kil Hswa was the most beholden of the Myriad. For she went to the greatest extent of the galaxy for her gifts to the Waskonedo, and in her exploration she discovered the Shikaakwa, shrouded in darkness, drawing light in from all directions. and offered to the Shikaakwa the gifts of the Waskonedo, and the Shikaakwa was eternally grateful. He gave Kil Hswa the gift of sentience. Kil Hswa did not understand the gift, but understood its importance. “What should I do with it?” Kil Hswa asked the Shikaakwa. The Shikaakwa did not move its mouth, but Kil Hswa could still hear it. You will understand soon. When the Shikaakwa spoke, the Kil Hswa could not only feel the fabric of space bend around her, but she felt her own self losing form, being pulled into the Shikaakwa. Kil Hswa felt grief for the troubled Shikaakwa. Its fur was overgrown in places and replaced by scar tissue in others, its left ear was bifurcated. She took it in her hand “Who did this to you?” She asked the Shikaakwa. However, it only answered You will understand soon. She was perplexed by the Shikaakwa, a feeling she had never felt before. Kil Hswa was too scared to continue speaking to it. And after an eternity, Kil Hswa had come to understand everything the Shikaakwa had meant for her. Its gift awakened and tortured her mind with the questions of life, death and self. She grew grateful for the Shikaakwa, and grew far from the Waskonedo. Frustrated with the Waskonedo for harming the Shikaakwa, she approached the Man’una. “You are clueless, my Kil Hswa,” The Waskonedo said with sincerity, “The Shikaakwa is the embodiment of torment and anguish, you have no business with it.” The Waskonedo felt space vibrate around her, and the eyes of the Shikaakwa open from beneath them. “I can feel the work of the Shikaakwa behind your eyes. It has a deep hatred for me and the Myriad, by speaking through him you are only putting us all in danger.” However, this meant nothing to Kil Hswa. Under the Shikaakawa’s blessing she felt safe. And when The Shikaakwa attacked the Myriad indiscriminately, devouring each rat until his eternal starvation was satisfied, he took pity on Kil Hswa. The Waskonedo cried out. It was a cry so loud that the light and dust from her whiskers shot out in every direction, blowing Kil Hswa and the Shikaakwa away into the galaxy and creating the stars. And when she realized that she had nothing left, she desperately plucked each remaining grains of dirt from her fur and whiskers and created the Earth, and cried so deeply that the rain filled the oceans. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@..@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@*...@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ %#@%@@%%%@@@.@@@#.@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@....@@*/@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@%. @@@@,@@&@@@@%/ @@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@% /@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@ &@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@ # %@/* @@@.(/ @@@@@@@@@# ,@@@@@@@@%@@( @ @@@@@@@@@. ,@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@ %% @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@ @@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@ %@@.@@..@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@ @ /@@@@@(*@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@ .@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@, @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@# .@@@(. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@../@@@@@ .@.@.@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@../@@@@@@@@@@@@@/@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@..@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@..@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@*..@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@..@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@%.@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@..@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@*.......*.@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
